Animation cinema of Uzbekistan begins in 1965 with doll film of director Damir Salimov “V kvadrate 6x6”. In 70th years appear painted films. Development of this kind of cinema was promoted by directors: D.Salimov, K.Kamalova, A.Akbarkhodzhaev, Z.Rojzman; artists: Y.Petrov, S.Alibekov; operators: I.Gavrilenko, N.Gerasi-mov. Today their traditions successfully continues N.Tulyakhodzhaev, M.Makhmudov, Dm.Vlasov, S.Muradkhodzhaeva. Animation films are created under original scripts and on the basis of fairy tales, literary works. Films are created doll and painted, this films are not only for children but also for adults. The animation cinema of Uzbekistan participates in the international festivals, and often receives high awards.
